Trivia
King Courtney asks for a ” Diablo Infernus “,
instead of ” Diablo Stallion” as the subtitles
state. This implies that the Diablos’ gang
vehicle was supposed to be the Infernus ,
but was replaced by the Stallion.
Very much like in the previous mission ,
King Courtney’s dialogue does not match
the subtitles provided by the game.
Players may find this mission difficult, as
they should steal a Mafia Sentinel , which
will normally spawn at Saint Mark’s . The
Leone family is hostile to Claude at this
point of the game and will shoot him with
shotguns if he goes there, easily
destroying a car.
However, there’s a safe way to get to
Salvatore’s Gentlemen’s Club and steal
one of his Sentinels. The player should
get to Portland Beach , then go up the
hill and steal the car. When getting the
car, he/she should go down the hill.
After this, it’s possible to get to the
Newport garage safely.
This mission can be greatly sped up by
having the Sentinel and Stallion already in
your Staunton safehouse (they must be
brought from Portland otherwise, requiring
two time-consuming trips back and forth;
the Stinger, obviously, can be found in
Staunton Island, near the Casino or
Asuka’s apartment .) This is particularly
useful since the drop-off point is very near
your safehouse, making this mission
trivial.

How To Get Advertiser Or Sponsors On Your Website Or Blog

I have been getting asked lately about
how to approach companies for
advertising or sponsoring contests.
Almost all inquiries I can respond to
easily with several of the following:
1) You have a super spammy blogspot
domain. I doubt any company is going
to take you seriously.
2) There is no about or bio page on the
site that says anything about what
your site is about.
3) You have less then 10 posts on your
blog and it looks like the last one was
4) You are based outside of the United
States. I know its not fair… but its just
the way it is. (I have sponsored
contests outside of the USA but I
doubt most companies will)
5) Your blog is titled “Make Money
With firstname lastname”.
6) It looks like nobody ever visits your
site but you ? PageRank 0 and Alexa
9,000,000
7) You have no other advertisers
advertising on your blog. Just a bunch
of “Advertise Here” boxes
8 ) Your email is @hotmail/@gmail/
@yahoo and not @yourblog.com or the
site your trying to pitch.
9) The whois information about your
site is anonymous (or in your case not
yours)
10) Just in the email you wrote me I
spotted 10 grammatical errors alone.
So I guess I will start with the
advertisers one first. Here are my tips
for getting advertisers for your blog/
website.
Just start with anyone at any price.
Yes that’s right. Nobody wants to
advertise on a blog that nobody is
advertising on. When I first sell ads
on websites most of the time its either
trade outs or for very very low money
(usually 1/10th of what it should be).
You can always raise your rates later
and let the market decide if its too
high but nobody likes being the first
advertiser.
Create a Zone page with demographics
and statistics.
You can see my advertising page here.
It makes it very easy for people to see
what placements are available and
where they are located on the page.
Take a full screenshot if possible. The
Pearl Crescent Page Saver extension
works well to take a screenshot of the
full page instead of just what you can
see.
Also on that page I give out general
statistics on traffic the website
receives.
Tell the advertiser why they should
advertise with you.
Again as you can see on my
advertising page I show all the awards
and mainstream press mentions the
website gets. I also highlight the
sites that point out how my site has
driven them tons of sales and what a
value it was to advertise. Testimonials
can also be good.
Well those are the basic tips for how
to get advertisers… but as far as
getting contest sponsors I will add one
more.
Let the company know exactly what
they are getting
Don’t try to bs companies… especially
if your in the “Making Money Online”
space. After spending money with you
or sponsoring a contest on your site if
the traffic you told them you expected
is not there then not only are they not
going to spend any more money with
you but you can bet they will let other
companies know that your website is
not a very good return on investment.
Usually before I advertise I will ask
other or previous advertisers there
experience with a website. Its
amazing what a small group the
advertising space is.
One last tip for both contests and
advertising – Hit up people that you
already have a business relationship
with first. Especially those affiliate
companies you are making money for.
There is so much bullcrap being
written by people who have ZERO
experience actually doing what they
are talking about that usually
companies are happy to put their
brand on your site.

How to Successfully Sell Ad Space on Low Traffic & New Blogs

One of the challenges for a new-ish
blog and blogger is finding those
first advertising dollars, for the first
time. It’s tough because you have a
lot of competition and you’re most
valuable assets aren’t as
competitive, yet.
Or is it? I think that selling
advertising on smaller blogs and
websites isn’t as tough as you might
think. I’ve written some good
articles already in the Making
Money Blogging series and Getting
Started with Blog Advertising series
but I wanted to spend a little bit
more time just talking through some
of my thoughts about advertising
sales on low-traffic blogs.
The thing is that most bloggers think
that you need the following to be
successful at selling advertising
inventory:
Lots and lots of traffic.
Lots and lots of social proof, fans
on Facebook, followers on
Twitter, etc.
An experienced track record of
advertising.
Naturally, most bloggers who have
just started out don’t have these
types of things and feel like they are
automatically disqualified because
advertisers and businesses won’t
find them attractive.
But any good advertiser knows that
traffic is only part of the equation –
a smart and strategic advertiser
cares about one thing primarily:
Conversion, especially high
conversion rates.
What they need are blogs and
bloggers who can deliver that value
proposition to them with the
right type of traffic with the right
type of visitors.
Know Thyself:
The first thing you really need to do
is know your own blog as well as
you possibly can. The only way that
you can do this is use website
analytics .
This is the only way that you can
really know what you’re actually
offering to a business and potential
advertiser. If you haven’t set this up
then you must do that now and you
must wait for a least a month (or
two) to make sure that it’s tracking
as well as to have a good history of
metrics and statistics.
There are tons of options for you but
without question you should have at
least Google Analytics , and if you
have WordPress I’d recommend also
having Jetpack .
Know Your Visitors:
The second thing you need to do is
make sure you know your visitors as
well as you possibly can. Either
you’ve picked up on who they are
over time or you can ask them
directly by polling them directly via
something as simple as PollDaddy (I
used it here recently).
You can ask them who they are,
what they like, and even what their
purchasing patterns surrounding
content that you talk about. Who
knows, you could learn a thing or
two!
But don’t forget to stay updated via
Facebook and Twitter and other
social networking outlets that may
be sharing your content and/or
talking about your blog and brand.
Conversations are happening… make
sure you’re a part of them!
Again, you could probably learn a
thing or two. Don’t forget to check
sites like Digg, Delicious,
StumbleUpon, and other such sites
that might be indexing your content
as well.
Find Your Future Advertisers:
The next thing you need to do is to
simply find the advertisers that you
want and that need your blog (but
just don’t know it yet). There are a
few strategies that are incredible
places to start your search:
Linked Blogs – The blogs that link
to you may have advertisers
already and the fact that they are
linked to you may mean that the
advertisers might want to
advertise on your blog too if the
content and niche are similar.
Perhaps emailing them directly
would be a good strategy! You
could mention the existing link
relationship and how you could
serve their target audience as
well!
Your Community – People who
comment obviously love your
blog and some of them may have
businesses (or relationships) that
may have advertising needs.
Sometimes they just don’t know it
yet or the thought hasn’t really
crossed their mind. I can’t tell
you how many times I’ve pinged
someone and they said “Wow, I
never thought about that…!”
Research – You probably already
know your niche pretty well and
the other blogs within your space,
many of which you look up to
and admire. These blogs, with
similar content, have advertisers
and make sure to note who’s
spending money!
Intuition – You instinctively know
what businesses probably would
like to advertise on your blog.
Make note of these as well and
even drop them a line and see
what their advertising needs are.
These are some of the very easy
ways for you to engage advertisers
even if you don’t have a super-
duper-mega-popular blog!
Now, the next step is taking
advantage of some of the other posts
that I’ve already written on how to
engage a potential advertiser:

Most Effective Advertising and
Sponsorship Page Ever

Advertising Contract or
Agreement [Examples Included]

Help You Choose the Right
Advertisers

Handle Your First Advertising
Sale
You’ll definitely want to check out
these posts!
It Never Hurts to Ask:
The bottom line is that you, too, can
start advertising if you engage
properly and wisely. And, as my
father taught me, it really doesn’t
ever hurt to ask by pitching to these
advertisers and contacting them
directly.
Honestly? You have very little to
lose! Advertising on a smaller blog
isn’t too difficult if you do it wisely.
Of course, try multiple different
methods and approaches, track your
progress and provide them the most
information possible. Go above and
beyond and you may end up with a
sweet return.
And good luck! Www.facebook.com/Ikem.samuel

Akan, Aniekan
A member representing Uruan Constituency in
the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr.
Aniekan Bassey, escaped being killed after a
team of policemen invaded his house at Ekim
Enen, in the Uruan Local Government Area.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the policemen, who
were in two patrol vans, allegedly stormed the
lawmaker’s family house, claiming to be
searching for an undisclosed exhibit on Sunday.
An eyewitness, Iquo Edet, told our correspondent
that the lawmaker’s cousin, Mr. Akan Bassey,
who rushed out of the bathroom to check what
was happening, was shot as soon as he
disclosed his name to them.
According to Edet, the policeman who shot Akan,
might have mistaken him (Akan) for Aniekan,
adding that the bullet pierced through his
breastplate.
“I think the policemen came for a mission. What
exhibit were they looking for? Who has something
here to hide?
“If they had succeeded in killing him, they would
either say it was an accidental discharge or look
for something incriminating to present before the
public who will judge him as criminal since the
dead cannot talk,” she said.
Aniekan, who spoke with our correspondent on
the telephone on Monday, said he was still in
shock over the incident. He described the act as
shocking and barbaric.
He said, “I quickly rushed to the crime scene
which took place around 2pm on Sunday and
helped rush the victim to a hospital.”
Aniekan, who did not reveal the name of the
hospital, where the victim was taken, said the
doctor gave prompt attention to him. He noted
that his cousin was lucky that the bullet did not
go through his heart.
Aniekan said he would do everything within his
power to ensure that the policemen, who were
involved in the act, paid for it.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom
State Command, Cordelia Nwawe, said the
policeman did not aim the gun at anybody,
adding that the incident was an accidental
discharge.
She said, “Investigation is ongoing at the
moment. The injured victim is undergoing
treatment; he is responding to treatment.
Hopefully, he will be home tomorrow.
“But the accident did not occur out of malice.
Parties concerned have never had any problem.
It was an accidental discharge.”
She said the Commissioner of Police, Mr.
Murtala Mani, had ordered a diligent investigation
into the matter.
