A woman has accused a popular pastor in South Africa of paying her money to stage manage fake miracles.

A popular South African man of God and the Senior Pastor of Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG),
Shepherd Bushiri, has been accused by a 38-year-old woman, Margaret Hlatshwayo, of paying her to lie about miracles » he purported to have performed, Daily Sun reports.

Hlatshwayo revealed to Sun that the man of God pays out an equivalent of about R30, 000 a week to a team of actors to pretend being healed » of various ailments during his programmes.
“My conscience has been pricking me for about 3 months now and I am terrified that God might punish me.
I was told I could get a job at a church in Pretoria and would be paid R500 the same day. I didn’t know what kind of job it was. I was told I must act in a holy way and pretend I was healed. I had to testify to living a horrible life before.
I knew what I was doing was wrong but I couldn’t resist the R500 money promised. This is because I needed the money to feed my 3 children and I couldn’t turn down the offer, so I did what they told me.

And that was how I began. I lied to people and agreed to everything the pastor asked me. I said I was unemployed but I had recently got a job through God’s power after the pastor prayed for me. I have not had a job for the past 4 years.
My only job was telling lies recently at church in Pretoria Showground. Later, the church stopped paying me on time because it now has a lot of people lying and giving false testimonies for the prophet and then at the end, there is not enough money to pay all of us.
The pastor kept promising he will pay me. Sometimes, he gives me R300 and at times nothing at all. I am so ashamed.”

But a leader in the church told Sun when a call was put through, they he did not know Hlatshwayo, denying that the church board or senior pastor paid people to testify.

Young Criminal 17-yr-old girl arrested for kidnapping baby in Lagos

A 17-year-old girl has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly stealing a child.

One Chizoba Maduegbunam , a 17-year-old girl, Chizoba Maduegbunam, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly abducting a little child » in the Oto-Awori area of the State, Vanguard reports.

The suspect was nabbed by community members on Thursday while attempting to abduct the child » and handed over to the police.
According to a resident, Maduegbunam was first taken to the palace of the traditional ruler of the area, the Oni-Ijanikin, who invited the police and handed her over to the law enforcement officers from the Ijanikin Division of the State Police Command.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Supol Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, saying the case is currently under investigation.

Pulse Tech has gathered from several sources that Rocket Internet ‘s African arm, Africa Internet Group (AIG), is integrating all its African companies to become one very big Jumia brand in all of its markets – offering everything from meals from your local restaurant to products from your local merchant to the latest tech gadgets from international brands – from Nigeria to Kenya and beyond.
While the public announcement is to be made during a press conference called ‘AIG’s State of the Union’ to meet the ‘No 1 Ecommerce Platform in Africa ’ by invitation of Jumia in Lagos, Nigeria, to be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 (see press invite here: http://us13.campaign-archive1.com/?u=8d3af9e72b6e89719b81c1a54&id=71b9c28d86 » ), Pulse has already obtained the relevant information.
Practically, this means that the AIG brands Hellofood , Carmudi , Lamudi,
Kaymu and others will completely go away to be replaced by additions to the Jumia name. So Hellofood will become
Jumia Food, Kaymu will become Jumia
Market and so on. These are to be hosted on sub-domains of the main Jumia page – so e.g. Kaymu is to be on market.jumia.com. When accessing market.jumia.com one can already find a log-in page that suggests something is being built there: http://market.jumia.com/ .
While it will become 100% clear which brands will be integrated in which way (some may still stay alive for a while) during the press conference in Lagos next week, the overall move clearly suggests a short-, mid- and long-term
focus of AIG on Jumia and a concentration of its effort on the one-stop-shop brand.
Right now, there is no sure indicator, or statement from the company, on what the real thinking behind this move is, but there are speculations. While some of them may be answered on Thursday next week, some may still be a bit too far off for the company to comment at all:

As a back-ground, over the last six months, AIG’s large shareholder and Jumia’s initial founder Rocket Internet’s share price has dropped to an all-time low of EUR 18 (NGN 3,600) from a starting price of EUR 42.50 at start (NGN 8,500) – struggling to convince its investors of its global internet roll-out strategy.
Jumia’s revenue in Africa on the other side has dipped by 37% year over year

At the same time, over the past few months, Jumia’s parent company, AIG, has raised over $400 million in funding – to set it on course for a $1 billion valuation – from various companies like US finance powerhouse Goldman Sachs ; French telecom company, Orange and French insurer, AXA .
This combination of high funding for the group on the one side and struggling performance on the other side suggests
bigger moves for ultimate success are planned for which concentration on the main business, Jumia, is crucial.
Only then, the group will achieve what has been long rumored and just been re-confirmed as its main goal : a public listing of its shares, i.e. what is commonly known as an IPO.
This would make Jumia/AIG the first listed pure internet/e-commerce company on the continent with a clear focus on its core e-commerce offering.
Pulse will further follow up on this goal, but expects comments to be rare for now. So far Jumia/AIG’s comment was: no comment on anything.

Niger Delta Avengers Troops warn militants not to bomb pipelines

The joint military task force protecting oil installations in the Niger Delta, Operation Pulo Shield has warned militants to stop bombing crude oil and gas facilities in the region.
The spokesman of the military team, Col Isa Ado also revealed that it foiled an attempt by militants to destroy a pipeline belonging to Agip.
Ado said “ On same day, troops in continuation of its raid on suspected pipeline vandals’ camps carried out cordon and search operation in Oporoma Community of Delta.
“Ten suspected pipeline vandals were arrested during the operation, one pistol, 195 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 14 handheld radio set, 30 detonating cords and several phones with SIM cards were recovered.”
He also added that “Those behind this heinous act of bombing of critical installations in the region are warned to have a rethink and tow the line of peace by adopting a legitimate means to address their grievances instead of taking the law into their hands.
“We must embrace and support the laudable and bold initiative by the government to dialogue for peace and development, and call on the communities to guide their youths against acts capable of sabotaging the economy of the nation.”

Niger Delta Avengers Group calls MEND political thugs

The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) says the
Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) are political thugs.
NDA also accused Emami Ayiri of plotting to derail the Niger Delta struggle.
The militant group issued a statement titled: Niger Delta struggle is not for political thugs.
The group’s spokesman, Brig. Gen Mudoch Agbinibo who signed the statement said “We are watching with keen interest the unwholesome activities of the political thugs and agents of APC to undermine the Niger Delta struggle in the likes of Mr. Ayiri and gangs.
“Few days ago, he and his group was parading, regrouping, rebranding and re-arming defunct Ex-MEND and settled Militants leaders discussing pipelines, oil and gas facilities contract in Edo State Government house. Today he and his co-travelers are in delta state Government house, the Itsekiri Militants leader with community leaders and unfortunately branding them as representatives of Niger Delta Avengers for self-gain and political survivals.
“We condemn its entirety the continuous linking of the Niger Delta Avengers to any meeting in Delta State Government in Asaba with Minister of State for Petroleum Resources.
“We have never missed words in telling the whole listening world that the Niger Delta Avengers will not be part any dialogue deal that will not bring about “ the peace of our time; but we want a peace with honour” as such we could not be a party to any meeting with the likes of Ayiri Emami and his co- travelers that that are ready to kill and trade for the interest of pipeline, oil and gas facilities contract from the Government to bloat their pockets and urge fantasies .”

If it is confirmed that Taylor Swift is indeed in a new relationship this will be her eight boyfriend in eight years, that’s one a man. Swift has gone through so many men that they can make up a 5-side football team with three substitutes.

The amazing thing about Taylor Swift is that she has not lost any of her girl next door charm and personality. In the media she has not lost any of her appeal. She is the Barbie girl of pop and also a media darling.
I can’t help but think that if Taylor Swift was black would the narrative still be the same? Will the press paint her as a sleazy pop singer who bounces from one man to another? One thing is certain the press will be fixated with her dynamic love life and ignore her musical talent.
Yes the mainstream media is addicted to Swift’s love life but her musical talent and accomplishment have had the same level of attention as her boyfriends. If she was black and had eight boyfriends in eight years then the story might be different.
Let’s take a look at Rihanna . She is a brilliant singer but her affairs have been plastered on tabloids to the point of cult obsession. At one time she was christened the ‘Helen of Hip Hop’ after being caught in a love triangle with
Drake and Chris Brown .
If it’s not about Rihanna with Drake and Chris Brown then it’s A$AP Rocky,
Leonardo Dicaprio » or Matt Kemp. Rihanna could win 10 Grammys on one night if she shows up to the event with Drake then the narrative has changed.
It seems that black singers are oversexualized to the point that we forget they are singers and entertainers. They are surely perceived as romantic figures rather than creative entities. Imagine Beyonce had eight boyfriends in eight years…the way in which she would be portrayed is unthinkable.

The narrative distortion won’t only come from the media. Black people would also slander a black Taylor Swift for her long list of boyfriends. The memes would be epic and jokes about Taylor Swift’s body count.
As a black female singer or rapper you have to understand the fact that your love life and sex appeal will be embedded in your musical talent. There won’t be a separation.

Prince Harry British prince offers condolence to Mayor of Orlando

The Orlando shooting is one of the recent gun attack against innocent civilians in the United States. The incident has raised a very serious debate about gun laws in America.

Prince Henry of Wales, KCVO, also known as Prince Harry, has penned a note to the Mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, expressing his sadness concerning the recent Orlando shooting that killed forty-nine people.
In the letter, he praised the law enforcement officers, who showed braveness and handled their jobs responsibly during the attack.

The prince wrote, “I wanted to write and express my most sincere condolences to the people of Orlando after the horrific attack on the Pulse nightclub on Sunday,”
“Having just spent time in Orlando I know what a warm and welcoming community it is. In spite of this senseless act, I have no doubt that the love and friendship of your city will remain strong.”
“I would also like to pass on my deepest admiration to the law enforcement officers who attended the nightclub during the attack for their extraordinary bravery and professionalism.”
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones at this most difficult of times. You are all in our prayers as you face the days and weeks ahead.”
The shooting, which has been met with worldwide condemnation, happened on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

In China Deceased doctor’s body organs save 6 lives

His wife and parents decided to complete his final wishes and donated Song’s liver, lungs, kidneys, corneas and skin tissue to save patients’ lives and help two other people see again.

Organs of a doctor who died from a sudden illness were on Thursday donated by his relatives and they have saved the lives of six people.
Song Wei, 34, a trainee doctor at Shanghai Changhai Hospital in China, suffered an acute brainstem hemorrhage on May 31 and was pronounced dead on Wednesday.
His wife and parents decided to complete his final wishes and donated Song’s liver, lungs, kidneys, corneas and skin tissue to save patients’ lives and help two other people see again.
His wife described him as a doctor who had healing the wounded and saving the dying as his life mission.
The local Red Cross Society said Song was the city’s 195th organ donor and 57th this year.
